Choosing the Right Typeface for a Product Launch Series
I was putting together a three-part Instagram carousel for a new artisan candle brand’s seasonal collection. The visuals were rich with warm tones and organic textures, so I needed a typeface that felt equally elegant and intentional. That’s when I pulled up Murisaarmando Regular.
Murisaarmando Regular is a refined serif italic typeface that brings a sense of motion and sophistication to the page. Performance Across Digital Formats
First, I tested it in a YouTube thumbnail mockup. I overlaid “Limited Edition” in Murisaarmando Regular across a soft background of flickering candles. The contrast was strong enough to make the text pop, but I had to adjust the kerning slightly to ensure readability on smaller screens. That said, Murisaarmando Regular is not a workhorse font for long-form content or small body copy. Its decorative nature makes it unsuitable for dense paragraphs, subheadings under 14pt, or formal corporate messaging. It also doesn’t perform as well in dark mode previews when used without contrast adjustments.
For digital ads, I recommend using it only in the primary headline or callout text. Pair it with a clean sans serif like Montserrat or Open Sans for supporting copy to maintain readability and visual hierarchy. This pairing also helps balance the font’s ornamental style with a modern, accessible structure.
